Q: What the heck is "Bread Box" anyway?
When an auction says "bread boxing" or "bread box service" is available... it means: that if you are not able to be at the location of the pick-up at the scheduled date & time, that we will box up the items that you won and transport them to Columbus Online Auctions' Reynoldsburg Headquarters for later pick-up. Bread Boxing is a great option if you're interested in bidding on an item but you may not be able to attend the scheduled pick-up.
COA's headquarters is located at 7486 East Main St. Reynoldsburg, OH 43068
Q: When can I pick my items up?
Auctioneer Gary Grizzle often has pick-ups during the week from 4pm-6pm and is available Monday thru Friday 4pm-6pm most of the time. You may want to call ahead just to check-in. Gary can be reached at 614-868-3626
Q: Are there any additional fees? How much does "bread boxing" cost?
There is an additional fee of $5 per "bread box" sized item to be transported. The size is determined as the size of an old standard of measure, a "bread box".
Larger items are impossible, but if it will fit into a 'bread box or smaller, or at least in a front seat of a car (multiple bread box's,) we can bring it back with us (pick-up by appointment). The size/cost estimate is in the opinion of the Auction Firm Manager Or Auctioneer. The actual size of a bread Box is 16" x 10" x 7", but it is up to our opinion to gauge the size of your purchase. Examples: (How many 'bread boxes' is a large lamp?) maybe two ($10). A watch, a purse, 3 rings, 3 fishing lures and a contractors hard hat? All together, its only one breadbox ($5). If we agree to transport a slightly larger item, the fee would be multiplied by how many bread boxes would fit into that item (or vise-versa).
