We have never seen this unusual form of a Blenko  Glass pitcher. We have spent a considerable amount of time researching this piece to come up with nothing at all from the internet.

It reminds me of a short period of design in the 1960s where the slogan was "form over function'. A spoutless pitcher sure fits into that school of design.

Excellent condition. Two labels!

Tin lithographed windup toy “Tombo the Alabama Coon Jigger” manufactured by the Ferdinand Strauss Company/Strauss Mfg. Co. of New York City in the 1920's.

Bybee pottery is hand made and hand decorated. There are not 2 pieces identical in exact decoration,  glaze or in its firing experience. Think about how many chocolate chip cookies you have made in your lifetime. Are they exactly alike in appearance? Each unique and a wonderful tasty creation!

Following is some information gleaned from the internet.

"Bybee ware has an identifiable handmade appearance, with slight differences in shape between similar items. It often features uncleaned bases. Spots with lack of glaze or paint irregularities are common. There may be traces of glaze marks or drips on the bottom of a piece. Although these drips occasionally obscure the maker's mark, they also help identify a Bybee piece.

Bybee Pottery, is recognized as the oldest American pottery operation west of the Appalachian Mountains.  The family produced stoneware pieces in a rudimentary log cabin, using little-changed methods for over 200 years.

The company celebrated over 200 years of businss before suspending production in early 2011.. the family store closed in 2021."

  Company philosophy.
