It measures 4" closed with nickel silver bolsters, solid brass Liners and 2 mirror finish high carbon steel blades with "Manifest Destiny" inscribed on the main blade. Fantastic landlord's chair from one of the mansions in Bramwell WV. Good condition, very strong-solid, made for a large framed person. Clean upholstery.

This chair has been in storage since the 1970's. Sitting on a concrete floor, moisture has been drawn into the chairs finish on the feet. No rot, no soft spots, just loss of the finish.

Mission Oak arm chair with barley twist accents. This is the original finish on the mid 1920's chair. The seat is perfect, plenty of foam. Very clean non smoking home.

These 2 fabulous pieces of EAPG were made between 1887 and 1890 by Aetna Glass Works in Bellaire Oh after leaving Pittsburgh.  See 'Additional Description' for more.

Hobnail-in-Square pattern #335. AKA: Barred Hobnail. Compote and celery in opalescent.

I've never seen a better opalescent glass. The pinks, blues and golds are incredible and change with different light sources. 

Neither are perfect. The damage or imperfections in the compote may have been from the factory, but they are so slight your delight in these pieces won't be dampened by the tiny flaws. The compote has a crack in the base emanating  from the interior. The crack does not travel outside of the base. 

Incredible!

Vintage radiant-star quilt measuring 75" x 74". Bright vivid coloring on a stark white quilted background. Very clean! Handmade, machine stitched. Stunning! 

 We believe this to be a South Pacific Island hand carved screen in great detail. The back side is not carved. Over the past 80 years shrinking / drying of the wood has natuarly split 2 panels. Please see the photos for the measurements.

RARE: This knifes issue was to commemorate the County of Alamogordo. Alamogordo was the area of New Mexico where the very first atomic bomb was tested in 1945.

Standing Colt and 2 geese in caramel slag. 

Butterfly-block quilt. This old quilt is 100% hand sewn. The applied butterflies display Depression Era fabrics. Very clean with minor flaws that have come with age (see photos). One edge of boarder as faded. The field of butterflies is bright with rich vivid colors.

Early Fenton crimped nappy in marigold. Research indicates that this bowl can be dated to about 1911. GC. The caramel  slag Imperial pieces are from Heisey molds. 

Beautiful console set of 3 hand-painted (under high gloss glaze) urns. The tall piece is perfect, the smaller each has a chip on the collar. 

The larger candle stands were made by Kemple Glass, the smaller are Fenton's silvercrest line.

Seneca Glass Co.was established in Seneca County, Ohio in 1891. They relocated to Fostoria, Ohio where they opened shop in the then vacated plant of the Fostoria Glass Company. Although located in an Ohio plant, the newly formed company preferred a West Virginia charter. In 1896 Seneca relocated to Morgantown, West Virginia to take advantage of newly discovered natural gas, availability of river and railroad transportation, and local offers of land. The same German families retained significant control of the factory and it's management until the very last few years of the company's long history. Early growth was impressive: by 1897 250 glass workers were engaged at Seneca.

Working clock in large scale, 45" tall and wide. This clock is striking over a mantle or on the gallery wall. All metal, battery operated clock. 

Dr. Chase's Receipt books. Published after his death in 1910.

The word receipt is better replaced with the words 'prescription' and 'remedies'. 

His publications were like the GOOGLE of remedies for ailments and diseases afflicting the people of the mid 19th Century. He ended up living in Dresden Ohio after the Civil War. 

A facinating and somewhat 'head scratching' read with detailed glossary. So many things were remedied with Morphine, Laudanum or syrups including opium.

1987 commercial atlas of the United States. Nice map pages! 

The complete 3 volume three-ring binder set of ‘WARSHIPS’, an “encyclopedia of the greatest warships in history...”, a subscription service offered by Atlas Editions. Ships are primarily of the 20th Century, USA and Britain, but also include some of Germany, France, Russia, and several other countries. Binders are heavy-duty pressboard with glossy-coated color ship pictorials covering the front, spine and back. Cards are about 7 ¼” W x 9 ¾” H, printed on 60 lb coated cardstock.
