A handsome example of Japanese Satsuma ware. The vase urn stands on a circular foot, with gilt finished band around. The vase has classic Satsuma style all over gilt and polychrome decorative embellishment.
The vase has figural decoration depicting a male and female with a serpentine dragon.
Colbalt navy blue/red/lime green/orange/light blue. 

 LIght crazing and wear to the decoration commensurate with some age and handling but overall in good form and presents marvelously. No cracks, chips, or breaks.

Vintage metal box that was fashioned into a music box. The lid is adorned with a Victorian scene. When the lid lifts off a little lever goes up and music plays. It is a wind up music box. It was tested but was a bit tempermental. It could use some tinkering to make it play consistently.
